These icons are pretty incomprehensible to me, but then I don't drink coffee. (Apologies for the lousy photo.)

Many of these machines often icons that I find confusing.

When it comes to dishwashers for example, I would just like some huge on/off button in the front panel and nothing else. no one ever changes those settings so who needs them?
